Principal's Message
Our goal at the Academy is to foster a smooth and successful transition for our students from middle school to high school, while continuing to build a strong academic foundation. We want each of our students to have a successful school year. The faculty and staff at the Trojan Academy that will work hard to meet the needs of each of our incoming freshmen.
Each freshman will have four 60-minute classes at Trojan Academy along with a 45-minute BC Essentials class period. These classes include English, science, math, and a rotation class that consists of physical education, health, & career and technology. The last 90 minutes of the school day, freshmen take elective courses at Barren County High School, ATC, Innovation Zone, and JROTC. Our freshmen take a variety of courses at BCHS to end the day such as JROTC, agriculture, business, family & consumer science, Spanish, biomedical, engineering, world civilization. They also have the chance to take courses at Barren County ATC, Innovation Zone, and JROTC pathways.
I look forward to working with our students, staff, parents, and community to help meet the needs of our students. If I can be of assistance feel free to call Trojan Academy at 270-629-5505 or you can contact me via email at daryl.murphy@barren.kyschools.us.
